チェルシーのDavid ZwirnerギャラリーでAlice Neel。
最終日に間に合いました。春が来たNYの天気も相まって、混み合っていました。
Freedomというタイトルで、義理の娘のGinny Neelがキュレーションというか、まとめた展覧会です。
Art is two things: a search for a road and search for freedom. It's very hard to get freedom. You know all these things in life keep crawling over you all the time, so it's hard to feel free.

私の超意訳ですが、
日々の生活ではいつもいろんなことが起こって、自由なんて感じる暇もない。アートは道筋と自由を探すためのものなのです。
もちろん、ヌード絵画が多いのですが、宇宙人みたいな絵もありました。
見たことなかった。
